Cam'ron touring, playing Highline (where Just Blaze does a new party w/ Young MA)
Cam’ron said he’d be releasing his new album Killa Pink this November which may or may not feature his recent single “Oh Yeah” (ft. Juelz Santana), which he released just before the start of the Smokers Club Tour earlier this year. Cam will also be touring yet again this December.
The tour hits his hometown of NYC on December 5 at Highline Ballroom, two days after a nearby Long Island show on December 3 at Amityville Music Hall. Tickets for NYC and LI are on sale now. All dates are listed below.
Cam also appears on “S.D.E.” on the new album Kairi Chanel by fast-rising Harlem rapper Dave East (who also played Highline Ballroom very recently). If you haven’t heard that yet, check it out below.
Meanwhile, Just Blaze, who produced some of Cam’s biggest hits (like “Oh Boy”), teamed with Boiler Room and Move Forward Music for a new party called ‘The Remedy,’ which will launch on December 1 at Highline Ballroom. At that party, Just Blaze will be joined by one of Brooklyn’s biggest recent breakouts, Young M.A.. She was just the subject of a FADER profile called ‘Meet Young M.A, The Brooklyn Rapper Who Owned The Summer’ and here’s an excerpt from that:
Tell me about your summer in New York. What’s it like to have your shit blasting out of cars all the time, hearing your song be the song?
It’s crazy, man. It’s still surreal to me. It be times when I come out the crib and somebody’s driving past playing it. I would’ve never thought that’d happen for a while. I can’t really explain it. It more so motivates me to keep going. It’s like, OK, this is official, this is the lock-in. Let’s keep it moving now. Let’s keep giving ‘em this fire and let’s not stop this. I don’t like to get comfortable. I don’t like to be like, Oh, my song is all over the place. I’m lit. Nah, it makes me wanna keep working.
The song in question is “OOOUUU,” which you can watch the video for below. ‘The Remedy’ also has Chase B, DJ Wavy and Quiana Parks on the bill. Tickets are on sale now.
You can see Young M.A. in NYC much sooner than that though. She plays Power 105.1 Powerhouse at Barclays Center TONIGHT (10/27) with Usher, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Desiigner and more. Show is at 7 PM. Get there early for her set. Tickets are still available.
