Can's Malcolm Mooney playing Union Pool backed by Steve Shelley & more

Original Can vocalist Malcolm Mooney — who appeared on Monster Movie, Soundtracks and more — has a new band, The Eleventh Planet, which includes Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley, as well as Alexis Marcelo, Ava Mendoza, Daniel Moreno and Devin Brahja Waldman, most of whom have played with Mooney before. While a record or tour has not been announced, they will play Brooklyn’s Union Pool on September 18, and the show is set to feature “CAN classics, as well as new and unrecorded music, and samplings of what’s yet to come.”  Tickets are on sale now.
