Cardi B played Terminal 5 (pics, video), will be a judge on new Netflix rap show

Cardi B has been having a hell of a year, which has included the release of her great debut album Invasion of Privacy, a handful of high-profile guest verses, her new single “Money,” and more. She had to cancel her tour with Bruno Mars due to giving birth, but she finally returned to the stage as a guest with Migos at MSG and she’s continued to play her own shows ever since. The Bronx native treated her home city to a show at Terminal 5 last night (11/13) with Julia Michaels and DaniLeigh. It was presented by Pandora and it was a free show (and as a result there were brand sponsorships almost everywhere you looked… even in the bathroom), and there was a couch set up for group photos and a station where you could get a hat tie-dyed. Cardi had the crowd in the palms of her hands for fan faves like “Money Bag,” “MotorSport,” “Drip,” “Be Careful,” “Taki Taki,” “I Like It,” “Bartier Cardi,” “Bodak Yellow,” and more, and she and DJ Big Ben gave many shoutouts to the five boroughs throughout the night. Pictures are in the gallery above and a video with clips of several songs from her set is below.

In other Cardi news, she was announced was one of the judges on Netflix‘s upcoming hip hop competition show Rhythm + Flow, alongside T.I. and Chance the Rapper. The show is set to launch in fall 2019, and according to Variety, it’s “a classic, flashy competition series, but with a twist, focusing specifically on hip-hop music, which has never been at the forefront of any major unscripted music TV competition.”

Cardi next plays NYC on December 7 at the sold-out Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden. She’s also playing the pre-Super Bowl music festival in Atlanta, which helped fuel rumors that she’ll be joining Maroon 5 during the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
