Cardi B playing New Year's Eve at Knockdown Center (tix on sale)

Cardi B has had undoubtedly the biggest musical breakout of the year, thanks to her hit “Bodak Yellow,” which dethroned Taylor Swift from No. 1 on the Billboard charts and spent three weeks there. The track also picked up a few Grammy nominations and topped Pitchfork’s Best Songs of 2017 list. Cardi is showing no signs of slowing down, with a standout verse on Migos’ recent single “MotorSport” and another on “Um Yea” off the new Quality Control mixtape.

Cardi is (or at this point, was) one of the artists at Hot 97’s big ‘Hot 4 the Holidays’ show at Newark’s Prudential Center tonight (12/14), but you’ll also be able to see the Bronx rapper play a much smaller hometown-area show before the year ends. On New Year’s Eve, Cardi B will headline the ‘NYE Champagne Celebrity Celebration‘ at the Knockdown Center in Maspeth, Queens. There will also be music from Venus X, DJ BEBE, DJ Shelby Sells and DJ Pro Style. Tickets (which went on early bird presale to subscribers of our email list) are on sale now, and don’t be surprised if they go quickly.
