We mentioned how Tortoise‘s upcoming NYC show on June 23rd is part of the CareFusion Jazz Festival (June 17th-26th). Well, the full lineup for that fest has been released, and it’s posted below. It varies from local acts like banjo-led, rapidfire metal-improv Seabrook Power Plant to Brazilian bossa nova legend João Gilberto. Sun Ra Arkestra directed by Marshall Allen, Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society, Punch Brothers, Jason Moran with Mary Halvorson and Ron Miles, and McCoy Tyner Quartet with Ravi Coltrane, Esperanza Spalding and Francisco Mela (free at the SummerStage!) are some of the others.
