Caroline Polachek from Chairlift releasing solo LP as Ramona Lisa (stream a track)

Chairlift’s Caroline Polachek, last seen on stage with Blood Orange, is venturing out on her own under the name Ramona Lisa. She’s actually been playing shows under the guise for a year or so, but will have an album out via Terrible on April 15. Polacheck made it her own (mostly in Rome, hence the name) with a laptop, and calls it “a concept album of love songs that are nature allegories” and describes it as ‘pastoral electronic music.” That description definitely fits the ethereal opening track, “Arcadia,” which you can download above or watch the insect-obsessed video (co-directed by Polachek) below.
