Carrie Brownstein, Bryan Cranston & more are in new season of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'

Larry David has a sweet deal with HBO for his much-loved sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm, where he is not required to put out a new season every year. When he’s got an idea for a new season of Curb, he can do it. Hence the six-year gap since the last Curb, but the show finally returns for Season 9 on Sunday, October 1. Returning cast includes Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, Susie Essman, Richard Lewis, Bob Einstein, Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen and this year’s guest stars include Portlandia/Sleater-Kinney’s Carrie Brownstein, Bryan Cranston, Lauren Graham, Nick Offerman, Elizabeth Banks, Jimmy Kimmel, Ed Begley, Jr., Nasim Pedrad and Elizabeth Perkins.

The news was shared Wednesday (7/26) at HBO’s panel at the 2017 Television Critics Association summer press tour. From The Hollywood Reporter:

“We’re doing a lot of different stuff,” David said facetiously at the start, setting the tone for the rest of the panel.

When asked why he decided to do another season, the famed Seinfeld co-creator offered up a more sincere answer. “I’m not a misser. I don’t really miss things, people that much, but I was missing it and i was missing these idiots so I thought, ‘Yeah, what the hell? And I got tired of people asking is the show coming back? I couldn’t get asked that question anymore and I wasn’t ready to say no, never.”

We can’t wait. Watch a teaser below.
