Taking inspiration from Bettie Page and 1950s pinups, Lower East Side bar Nurse Bettie hosts twice-weekly burlesque shows on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

The night may be dark and full of terrors, but The Slipper Room was hot and full of pasties when Hotsy Totsy Burlesque paid tribute to Game of Thrones.

Wasabassco Burlesque celebrated Halloween early on Saturday with a show that was equal parts spooky and sexy.

On a stage built by an organization that promoted women’s suffrage, the ladies paid tribute to pop culture, including Tomb Raider, Sailor Moon, Deadpool, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Rick and Morty, and Stranger Things, with some striptease.

The show is called ”I Only Strip to the Mountain Goats,” naturally.

Wasabassco’s House of Deveraux paid tribute to rock titans Led Zeppelin with a multimedia burlesque revue titled “Take the Led Off!” at Le Poisson Rouge on September 9, featuring 10 different acts — plus a go-go intermission — set to some of Zeppelin’s most iconic songs, including “The Lemon Song,” “Kashmir,” and “Whole Lotta Love.” Check out photos and more upcoming events.
