Beach Fossils were in the Halloween spirit at NYC’s Brooklyn Steel for their “sacrificial ritual spectacular” on Saturday night (10/28) which was also the final date of their tour. Dressed in sacrificial red robes and ghoulish face paint, the band played a colorful graveyard-themed stage full of cobwebs, tombstones, human carcasses and, not accidentally, fossils, among other creepy stuff.

Hundreds of costumed dogs and their owners, as well as curious onlookers, spilled out of the multi-use courts and lined the fences surrounding them. Prizes were awarded for the best costumes, but to me, all the dogs in attendance were winners.
