Cave In announces fall tour with Helms Alee, War on Women, The Primals, more

Cave In released Final Transmission, featuring the last-ever recordings of late bassist and vocalist Caleb Scofield, in June, and they’ve announced a fall tour in support of it. They’ll continue to be joined by Converge’s Nate Newton as a live replacement for Caleb, and $1 from every ticket sold will go to the Caleb Scofield Memorial Fund.

The band has some killer support lined up for this tour; for the first leg, which begins on October 10 in Chicago, they’ll be joined by hardcore punks War on Women and instrumental trio Lazer/Wulf, hitting Toronto, Montreal, Washington DC, Philadelphia, NYC, and more cities. For the second leg, kicking off November 8 in Houston, it’s psychedelic sludge metalers Helms Alee (who released the great Noctiluca earlier this year) and fuzz-rock supergroup The Primals. Those dates include stops in Dallas, Austin, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and more.

The tour’s NYC stop happens on October 18 at Bowery Ballroom, and tickets go on sale Friday 7/19 at 12 PM, with a Citi Cardmember presale beginning Tuesday 7/16 at 10 AM.
