Central Village joins Gothamist | Welcome to my hell the club | Devotchka

Gothamist Central Village joined the “ist” family yesterday as the new show reviever for Gothamist. His first post is a review of the Kings of Leon / Secret Machines show at Roseland. Other music related posters at Gothamist include Arts & Entertainment editor Daily Refill, and me with my weekly list of shows. We are not alone though….

* Information Leafblower writes for DCist.
* Chromewaves writes for Torontoist.
* Sixeyes writes for Torontoist.
* Ben Brown writes for Austinist.
* ORTF works for Parisist.
* Chryde of Blogotheque works for Parisist

In related news, Doveman are playing Gothamist’s Movable Hype 4.0 show on August 22nd at Knitting Factory. Had I known this, I still would’ve asked them to play my own show on Sept 13th (which I did, though I had no clue they were playing Gothamist too). There’s plenty of love dove to go around. Langhorne Slim, Bravo Silva, and Raising the Fawn are also on the Gothamist bill.

Last time Gothamist had a show, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (CYHSY) played. Tonight, CYHSY play at South Street Seaport for free (7pm) with the underrated band Devotchka.
