CFM announce new album, 'Dichotomy Desaturated' (listen to "Rise and Fall")

Ty Segall cohort Charles Moothart has a new CFM record on the way, titled Dichotomy Desaturated. That’s the cover art above, and he cites Black Sabbath and The Grateful Dead among the influences on this one. “There’s a lot of stuff on this record that’s extremely out of my comfort zone, but that’s what I’ve come to enjoy in music,” says Moothart. “The whole record is a constant push and pull where I’m at with my life and with music—coming to terms with the fact that all I want to do is push myself, but it becomes scary.” Check out riffy lead single “Rise and Fall” off the new album below.

This album is out April 7 via In The Red, and follows the EP Homegrown Paranoia and debut album Still Life of Citrus and Slime, which you can listen to in full below.

No word on CFM tour dates, Charles will be on the road as part of Ty Segall’s “Freedom Band,” touring Ty’s new album, including three nights at Brooklyn’s Warsaw in May.
