Chad VanGaalen releasing a new LP, touring (dates & stream)

Canadian songwriter Chad VanGaalen is finally set to follow 2011’s solid Diaper Island with a new album, Shrink Dust, on April 29 via Sub Pop. The album’s lead single, “Where Are You,” is on Chad’s quirkier and more eccentric side with tons of terrifically weird sounds going on in the background and not many signs of the folk and indie rock of the last record. Chad will also be touring this May, and that tour brings him to NYC on May 15 at The Bell House. Tickets for that show go on sale today (2/5) at noon.
