CHAI touring around Pitchfork fest, including dates with The Drums

Japanese band CHAI, who toured last month around SXSW, will be coming back to the U.S. this summer for Pitchfork fest and will play other shows while here. Dates kick off in Brooklyn on July 15 at Music Hall of Williamsburg and they’ll also stop in DC before hitting Chicago for Pitchfork. After that, CHAI will hook up with The Drums for shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Santa Ana, San Diego and Las Vegas.

Tickets for the Brooklyn show are on AmEx presale now and go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 19 at 10 AM. All dates are listed below.

CHAI released their great second album PUNK in March — a wholly original mix of pop, post-punk, regular punk, dance music, cheerleader/marching band music and more into a shiny, subversively cute (and decidedly feminist) package. Stream it, and watch a few videos, below.

Speaking of The Drums, they just released their terrific fifth album, Brutalism, and their tour hits NYC in May.
