Chalice Festival announces 2018 lineup (and on-site cannabis consumption)
The 2018 edition of Chalice Festival will take place from July 13-15 at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville, CA, and the fest has just revealed its 2018 lineup. This year’s headliners are Ludacris, Bassnectar, Bone Thugz-N-Harmony, and Curren$y. Other announced acts include Sizzla, Pharcyde, Cut Chemist and Thriftworks, with more artists expected to be announced soon.
Aside from some great musical acts, Chalice Festival is a celebration of cannabis culture, and this year, for the first time ever, the fest will include on-site cannabis consumption for attendees aged 21+ — marijuana became legal in California on January 1. (That said, you can’t have it at California’s Coachella, or Denver, CO’s weed-focused 420 Fest). Chalice Fest also features hashmakers, renowned street artists, and glass blowers.
“This year’s Chalice will make history in several ways,” said Chalice Festival founder Doug Dracup, who expects this year’s fest to draw nearly 45,000 attendees. “We’ve always been a leader, and we plan to lead by example at Chalice 2018. We know all eyes will be on us, and we have no doubt that we will set the bar for the future of legal cannabis and its relationship with music and arts festivals.” There are some caveats and you might want to read the fest’s FAQ first.
Tickets for the festival are on sale now. You can view the festival’s current lineup below.
