Chastity Belt prep LP co-prod. Jay Som, share song, touring w/ Strange Ranger
Seattle’s Chastity Belt will release their self-titled fourth album on September 20 via Hardly Art. They co-produced it with Melina Duterte (who you might know better as Jay Som) and features them dusting off “old songs, and trying new things on top of it.” The first single is the laid-back “Ann’s Jam” and you can check out video below.
Chastity Belt will be on tour this fall with Strange Ranger, including a NYC show at Elsewhere Hall on November 13 (tickets). All dates are listed below.
Chastity Belt’s Julia Shapiro has solo dates this summer, including a Brooklyn show on July 28 at Union Pool with Matt Bachman (tickets).
Speaking of Strange Ranger, they just yesterday released the new song “Message To You,” which will appear on their upcoming album Remembering The Rockets (due 7/26 via Tiny Engines). They also have upcoming dates with Joyce Manor and Stef Chura, and you can see their full tour schedule and hear their new single below too.
