Cheatahs ready debut LP, touring North American in 2014 (dates, streams)

Cheatahs are set to release their self-titled debut album on February 11 via Wichita. Like the band’s singles from last year, the album mines a full-throttle, warped guitar sound not unlike vintage Swervedriver or Smeared-era Sloan. These guys know their way with a hook, too and you can check out videos for “Cut the Grass” and “Kenworth” from the album below.

The UK band, who were last here in April, will be back again early next year for a North American tour that includes a NYC date on March 4 at Rough Trade. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (12/20) at noon.

No word on whether Cheatahs will play SXSW, but they will be in the country around the same time. All dates are listed, along with those videos, below…
