Rose Windows

Seattle’s Rose Windows make the kind of modern day psychedelia that’s rooted in the innovations of the late 1960s but could only have come together in recent times. When listening to them, bands like Jefferson Airplane come to mind, but they also share Prince Rama’s forward thinking approach to Eastern melodies, Laurel Halo’s drifting atmospheres, and the retro stoner metal of ’90s bands like Sleep and Electric Wizard. They’re set to release their debut album this year (details TBA), but meanwhile, you can watch their music video for the single, “Summertime,” below. They also recently performed live in studio for KEXP, and you can watch the 20+ minute performance and interview video below.

Rose Windows don’t have a tour scheduled at the moment, but they were announced as part of the lineup for local(ish) festival Sasquatch!, so if you’re headed to Quincy, WA for that festival, be sure to catch their set.
