PA-based musician Balam Acab (aka Alec Koone) has announced a short 2011 tour, kicking off in the beginning of November. Not only will he hit Le Poisson Rouge in NYC, but on his way there, he'll tag Chicago's Empty Bottle on November 11th. Tickets will be posted shortly. According to Pitchfork, Alec will be assisted live by a female vocalist. This has worked out extremely well for label mate oOoOO and his new addition Butterclock.

Balam Acab's debut LP Wander / Wonder was released a little over a month ago via Tri Angle Records. To quote our own Andrew Sacher:

With 8 tracks that clock in just under 40 minutes, Balam Acab creates Burial-esque bass and clicks and underwater atmospheres, only coming up for a breath of air and a glimpse of sunlight on "Oh, Why," before re-emerging into the album's two swampiest tracks.
