"Nada Surf is such an underrated band. Incredible live performers. Best band I've seen this year." - Shannon

Last night (Monday, April 2), Nada Surf toured through Chicago with Australia's An Horse (who played Saki on Sunday), making a stop at Metro. Check out the setlist from each band at the bottom of this post. Stay tuned for a full set of pictures and a review.
After the show, NS frontman Matthew Caws jumped into the Metro store with an acoustic guitar to play "Blizzard of '77." Footage of his solo performance can also be found below....

Awesome show. Was lucky enough to be there when the sing along started. Got a signed NS poster and saw a great band play live. Thank you Nada Surf for all of it.
Agreed that this was a great show. Nada surf is such an easy band to take for granted. The new stuff comes off really well live, and they had a good mix of older and newer material. I know it'll sound cliched or whatever, but the encore really felt like something special. The entire crowd 2-stepping to Inside Of Love? The fakeout endings to Blankest Year? Great, great show.
I wish I caught Blizzard Of '77 though.
(I really like An Horse too, but for the second time in a row I really wish they played a better setlist.)

I'm surprised many of my friends didn't know Nada Surf until I introduced them. I definitely agree that they are an underrated band. I loved this show too, can't wait for the next one.

This was a particularly useful post for me because I have looked long and hard for a site that not has informative content,
but also presents it in an entertaining manner.
I feel I have found both characteristics in this site - and is the reason for this post!
Thanks much!

I agree with "porn," and that is the reason for this post.
Unfortunately, the small, fat, bald-headed technologist be insane.
