an Easter message from Sam McPheeters
Sam McPheeters

American journalist, artist, and former frontman of Born Against, Sam McPheeters has a new book out, titled, The Loom of Ruin. McPheeters, also previously involved with the bands Wrangler Brutes and Men's Recovery Project, has written for Vice, the Village Voice, the Huffington Post, and his own blog.

On McPheeters site, he offers a summary of the novel, released April 1, via Mugger Books.

"The book concerns Trang Yang, the angriest man in the world, and could be described as "satire", or "a dark comedy", or "a story in which lots of terrible things happen to a lot of good people."
He also published a three-chapter excerpt on Vice if you're interested in previewing more. You can buy at Amazon.

Sam is now on the road, touring in support of this book (his first novel), with two scheduled stops in Chicago. His tour is split between spoken word events, and book readings, and while in Chicago he'll be doing one of each. On April 12, he'll be reading excerpts from The Loom of Ruin at Columbia College Chicago at 2:30 p.m, followed by a spoken word performance at Permanent Records at 6 p.m.

  • I haven't really read the book yet but it seems really interesting. I've seen him live too and he's kinda hilarious. He's a really great guy.
