Chicago duo The-Drum have shared a new track called "/SYS," which you can stream at the bottom of this post. The hazy, tropical-sounding number features layers of reverb-laden keyboards, handdrums, and some indecipherable effected vocals. "/SYS" is the lead single from their forthcoming Mishka EP, Sense Net, due out on July 17.

The-Drum are headlining Reversible Eye this Friday (6/29) as part of the Empty Bottle/AdHoc.fm's Banter series. Decimus, Treasure Mammal, and Roth Mobot are also on the bill. Admission is free and there will also be complimentary drinks.

The-Drum's "Omar" was recently featured on the Nguzunguzu-curated FACT mix 334. You can stream/download the 35-minute mix at the bottom of this post.
