Bobby Womack at BCoPA on 9.23.2012

Brilliant Corners of Popular Amusements finished off on Sunday night (9/23) with performances by Bobby Womack and Helado Negro. I arrived late into Helado's set to find much of the crowd seated on the ground, transfixed on the experimental musician. Bobby Womack followed with a feel-good headlining performance, which forced a smile onto the faces of all in attendance. "Reach out and touch somebody" and "THIS, people, is a sexy one" were just a couple of things the 68-year old singer quipped between songs. He spoke of being sick, his bout in the hospital, and how great he feels now. Womack performed a full set of his classics, including "Lookin' for a Love," "That's The Way I Feel About Cha," and "If You Think You're Lonely Now."
