Conrad Bain, possibly known best for his role as the adopted father Phillip Drummond to Arnold and Willis on Diff'rent Strokes , has passed at the age of 89.
Bain family sources tell TMZ, Bain died Monday night in Livermore, CA. So far, details surrounding his death are unclear. And Bain played a supportive father on the show too, which could possibly be what was the glue that held the 80s television show together. He'll be missed, but will live on in re-runs.We spoke with Bain's daughter Jennifer who tells us, "He was an amazing person. He was a lot like Mr. Drummond, but much more interesting in real life. He was an amazing father."
Conrad Bain, RIP.
