Victor Villarreal (Joan of Arc/Owls/Ghosts & Vodka/Cap'n Jazz) is set to headline Township next Thursday, January 10. He'll receive support from Zeus, Jr., Poor Lister, and Transmontane, and advance tickets are on sale now.

As discussed many times, Villarreal welcomed his debut solo LP, Invisible Cinema, via Joyful Noise last January. If you haven't checked it out yet, the highly inventive guitarist also does just fine on his own. Take a listen to Invisible Cinema in its entirety at the bottom of this post.

We've also let you know that Owls are working on a new album, their first since their 2001 self-titled LP. In December, a fan asked Victor (via Facebook), "Victor! How is Owls going? Very curious!" Villarreal responded, "Going well! We've got about 11 different songs now. All new, and in different stages of being finished. Im excited to hear them all in a sequence since they all sound so diverse from each other. I think we will be demoing them in the beginning of March, with a possible April recording to follow. It's going to be great!!" Stay tuned for more information on the new Owls LP (and Owls in general).
