Disclosure @ NYC's Terminal 5 last month (more by Amanda Hatfield)

UK house revivalists Disclosure have announced their own concert series, called WILD LIFE, through which they'll be playing and curating some special shows along with artists they dig. The first two WILD LIFE gigs take place at the Greek in Berkley, CA on April 18 and, in keeping with the series' name, at the Lincoln Park Zoo on June 11. The Chicago gig features support from NYC rapper Joey Bada$$, Chicago house veteran Green Velvet (aka Cajmere aka Curtis Jones), and Berlin-based electronic artist George Fitzgerald. Being that admission is free to the LPZ, we're not quite sure how entry for this event will work; stay tuned for more information.

Check out a flyer for WILD LIFE below...

We've written about LA producer Kastle on BV a few times, like when we talked about his danceable, future-garage debut LP and his recent Drake remix. He's headed to NYC for the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival, which happens in the midst of a tour he kicked off in Oakland last night (10/30). That tour comes to Chicago for a Halloween party on Friday (11/1) at House of Blues with Autograf. Tickets for Friday's show are available.

All dates are listed on the tour flyer, along with a new mixtape, below...

Montreal-based producer Kaytranada (aka Kevin Celestin) welcomed his most recent effort, dubbed the At All / Hilarity Duff EP, earlier this month via HW&W Recordings. Led by the insanely catchy "At All," the three-song effort is equal parts glitchy and dance floor-ready. You can check out the hilarious video for "At All" at the bottom of this post.

Kaytranada and fellow producers Groundislava and Jerome LOL are currently in the midst of their collaborative No Peer Pressure Tour. That tour includes a performance at The Mid on November 6 with Them Flavors DJs. Advance tickets for the Chicago show are on sale now.

All No Peer Pressure dates, a tour poster, and song streams from each act lie after the jump...

North Coast Music Festival 2013 took place this past weekend in Chicago's Union Park. The EDM and hip hop-heavy lineup featured Just Blaze, Mac Miller, RL Grime, AlunaGeorge, and many more on Friday, August 30. The festival was temporarily evacuated around 5:30PM due to a fast-approaching storm. After the weather passed, gates were reopened at 7:30PM and set times were shifted around in order to accommodate for the two-hour delay. Unfortunately, the storm wrecked all of headliners Passion Pit's gear, so the group closed out the night with a DJ set instead. We've got pictures from Day 1 of NCMF 2013 in this post. More below...

North Coast Music Festival 2012 (more by James Richards IV)

As is the case with most musical festivals, North Coast 2013 has brought out some interesting individuals to Union Park. One gentleman in particular went a bit too hard on Saturday night (8/31)...

Chicago police Tasered a naked man who jumped atop a Mercedes Benz and planted his buttocks through its windshield outside the North Coast Music Festival on Saturday night.

The 22-year-old from Massachusetts was intoxicated or high on a hallucinogenic drug at the time, police said.

Two people called 911 from Ogden Avenue near Randolph Street about 8:10 p.m. - one to report a naked man who broke a windshield, and the other to report a naked man jumping on top of cars. [Chicago Tribune]

Speaking of hallucinogenic drugs, the final day of NYC's Electric Zoo Festival has been canceled after two attendees died from apparent overdoses of MDMA.

NCMF 2013 continues today (Sunday, 9/1) with performances by Wu-Tang Clan, Danny Brown, Purity Ring, and more.

Chicago's own veteran footwork/juke/ghetto house producer Traxman seems to always have something new to share. It's all solid stuff and he just recently welcomed what is perhaps his best work since 2012's Da Mind of Traxman. It's an EP entitled SO DAMN WHATTT !!!!, which arrived earlier this month via Interscape Records. Like his other stuff, the effort combines soulful melodies with some excellently spastic beatwork. You can take a listen to the six-song effort in its entirety at the bottom of this post.

Traxman is also prepping a new double album for release on September 17 via New York's Lit City Trax. It'll serve as the third volume of the label's Teklife series and is called The Architek. He hasn't shared any tracks from the 21-song effort yet, but you can get a feel for it by checking out a remix of the LP cut "Blow Your Whistle" and the Vol. 3 shortlist number "We Had A Sick Night" below. Traxman has some dates (mostly European) scheduled in support of The Architek but nothing in Chicago yet. Stay tuned on that front.

A complete stream of SO DAMN WHATTT !!!!, Traxman's two new songs, and album info. for The Architek lie after the jump...

Flosstradamus @ BVC-SXSW 2012 (more by Amanda Hatfield)

Summer festival season may be winding down for most of us, but that's certainly not the case for Chicago duo Flosstradamus. These "hoodieboyz," who released a trap collaboration with DJ Sliink titled Nomads earlier this year, are set to play a bunch of the traveling Mad Decent Block Party events, in addition to a couple of international festivals. Floss will then move on to ringing in 2014 with a New Year's Eve show at the Riviera Theatre. Tickets for their NYE performance go on sale this Saturday (8/10) at 10AM CST.

All Flossadamus 2013/2014 tour dates, a poster for their NYE show, and a stream of Nomads are below...
