Nine Inch Nails fan @ Lollapalooza 2012 (more by James Richards IV)

The official Lollapalooza 2013 lineup has been announced, even though you already got a good peek at it when it leaked in full last week. The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, New Order, Queens of the Stone Age, Kendrick Lamar, Phoenix, The National, Baroness, and MANY more are slated to perform in Grant Park from August 2-4.
Three-day passes are long gone, but single-day tickets go on sale this Wednesday (4/3) at 10AM CST.

Band of Horses @ The Chicago Theatre on 12.02.2012


On Sunday night (12/2) Band of Horses headlined 93XRT's holiday show at The Chicago Theatre with support from the Alabama Shakes (their second of two Chicago shows this past weekend) and Everest. 93XRT, who recently helped present The Afghan Whigs at Metro, Smashing Pumpkins at Allstate Arena, and more, have announced that Band of Horses will be headlining their holiday show at The Chicago Theatre on December 2. Support on that show will come from the Alabama Shakes, who play a sold-out show at the Riv on December 1, and Everest. Tickets go on sale this Saturday (11/3) at 11AM CST. A JAM presale will be active on Friday at 10AM CST; the password is xrtbhc.

My Morning Jacket, whose last Chicago show was a headlining set at Lollapalooza 2011, have announced a summer North American tour featuring Band of Horses, which makes a stop at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion on August 22. (At the moment, the only other paid show at the venue is Dead Can Dance on August 21.) Tickets go on sale this Saturday (May 5), at noon CST. One dollar from the sale of each ticket will go to benefit the Advanced Art Education Program at Gallery 37. Stay tuned for presale info. All dates are listed below...
Gogol Bordello @ Lollapalooza Brazil

Just after a week after they did Chile, Lollapalooza hosted its inaugural festival in Brazil which, according to festival organizers, hosted 75,000 fans. The two day (April 7-8) fest was held at San Paulo's Jockey Club and featured sets by Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Cage the Elephant, Foo Fighters, TV on the Radio, Foster the People Gogol Bordello, Thievery Corporation, the Arctic Monkeys, Jane's Addiction, and many more.
