Braid have been touring their 1998 album, Frame and Canvas, this year, but they haven't yet played a full-band Chicago show. That'll change when they headline Metro on December 16. Tickets for that show go on sale this Friday (9/28) at noon CST, and support is TBA.

Braid are heading out on tour in August with fellow Chicagoan and Polyvinyl labelmate Owen, who plays Schubas in June and Pygmalion in September, but before any of that happens you can catch a very tiny Chicago show from two of the band's members. On May 19 at Rockit Bar in Wrigleyville, Braid's Bob Nanna and Chris Broach will perform their 1998 LP Frame and Canvas in its entirety, with special guests. Though the show situation is less than ideal (the heart of Wrigleyville on the night of a Cubs game, a tacky bar): this will be a very intimate performance. Advance tickets are on sale and there are only 100 of them.
