DOWNLOAD: The Orwells - "Mallrats (La La La)" (MP3)

Elmhurst, IL garage rock upstarts The Orwells are set to release their debut LP, Remember When, on August 7 via Autumn Tone Records. The quintet, who are all around 17-years old, pair somewhat typical teenage experiences (hanging out at the mall, being suspended from school, and so on) with an in-your-face sound. There are also a few hazy, slow-burning tracks on the LP, so look out for that. Download the song "Mallrats (La La La)" at the top of this post and/or stream and watch the video for it below. Orwells' next show is this coming Friday (7/27) at Saki as part of their Creative Control series. This month's Creative Control features standup/sketch comedy from Adam Burke, Mike Sheehan, CJ Toledano, Anthony McBrien, The Puterbaugh Sisters, and The Telethon, as well as music guests The Orwells. Doors are at 7:30PM/show at 8, oh and it's free.
