Dirty Projectors have expanded their spring/summer tour schedule, which features performances at Sasquatch Music Festival, Governors Ball, and Bonnaroo, to include a pair of shows at Lincoln Hall on June 13. Tickets for both shows (7PM and 10PM) go on sale this Friday (3/1) at noon CST. Their current 2013 tour schedule can be found at the bottom of this post.

DPs have also shared a new track, called "There's a Fire," which appeared as the B-side to their limited edition "Offspring Are Blank" 7". A handful of those 7"s remain on the Domino Records webstore, and you can also take a listen to the track below.

Tonight after Pitchfork, one option is to head over to Nellcote (830 W. Randolph St.) to spend some more time with the Dirty Projectors. Get back to Nellcote by noon on Saturday for some brunch tunes courtesy of BAIO aka Chris Baio of Vampire Weekend who also DJs again Saturday night with Chromatics at Lincoln Hall. Vampire Weekend then headline Pitchfork on Sunday. Check out the full Pitchfork Fest schedule.

Pygmalion Music Festival, set to take place at various venues throughout Champaign-Urbana from September 27-29, have just added a ton of new acts to the lineup. These additions include Sleigh Bells, Best Coast, Laetitia Sadier, Eternal Summers, Hundred Waters, Night Beds, and more. An updated version can be found below.

Some of these acts have already been assigned to venues, like Sleigh Bells, who will kick off the festival with a performance at The Canopy Club on September 27. Dirty Projectors play the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts on September 28, and later that night you can catch Best Coast at The Canopy Club. On September 29, Grizzly Bear and Dinosaur Jr. will headline a full day of music on two stages in Downtown Champaign. Many more shows are TBA.

Laetitia Sadier, one of the fest's many headliners, is set to release her second solo LP, Silencio, on July 24 via Drag City. The Stereolab member recently shared the album's first single "Find Me the Pulse of the Universe," which you can check out HERE. Before hitting Pygmalion, Sadier will play Schubas on September 15. Tickets go on sale this Friday (6/15) at noon CST. Full tour TBA.

Dirty Projectors have been added to the 2012 edition of the Pygmalion Music Festival, set to take place from September 27-29 at venues throughout Champaign-Urbana, IL. A second wave of tickets for the festival are on sale. 10+ headliners and 20+ supporting acts are TBA shortly.

DP' new album, Swing Lo Magellan, is scheduled to hit stores on July 10 in the US via Domino Records. Take a listen to the LP's lead single "Gun Has No Trigger" at the bottom of this post.

As mentioned, Dirty Projector Nat Baldwin headlines the Hideout tonight with support from Chicago jazz trio Sun Rooms (Mike Reed is the drummer). Tickets will be available at the door (doors @ 9PM).

About an hour ago, the Dirty Projectors shared the lead single, "Gun Has No Trigger," from their forthcoming LP for Domino Records, thought to arrive this spring. The track is sparse in its instrumentation (just drums and bass) and features powerful lead vocals from David Longstreth and choral-like backing from Amber Coffman, Angel Deradoorian, and Haley Dekle. The Atlas Moth, Danny Brown, Dirty Projectors, Clams Casino, Flying Lotus, Iceage, The Men, Olivia Tremor Control, Purity Ring, Schoolboy Q, and Sleigh Bells were all just added to the lineup of Pitchfork Festival 2012, taking place in Chicago's Union Park from July 13-15. Three-day passes are now sold out, however single-day tickets are still available.
