Dive are currently on tour with Frankie Rose and the two bands hit Chicago last night, to play a very packed show at Township. Our photos are forthcoming.
Pitchfork reports that the project of Beach Fossils frontman Zachary Cole Smith have now changed their name to DIIV, being mindful of the early 90's Belgian industrial outfit. DIIV (formally Dive) have also shared a new single from their forthcoming LP, Oshin, due on June 26 via Captured Tracks. Take a listen to "Doused" below...

Kickball Katy (aka Katy Goodman) released the sophomore LP under her La Sera moniker, Sees The Light, in late-March via Hardly Art. Download the album tracks "Please Be My Third Eye" and "Break My Heart" at the top of this post. Katy will hit the road for a short string of headlining dates this May, reaching Township on the 15th of the month. Advance tickets are on sale. All dates are listed below.
In related news, Katy's former-Vivian Girls bandmate Frankie Rose headlines Township TONIGHT (April 30). Tickets are still available for tonight's show, featuring support from Dive, though maybe not for long. Frankie's great new album, Interstellar, hit stores in February via Slumberland. Frankie Rose releases her great new album, Interstellar, on February 21 via Slumberland and it's currently streaming on SPIN. It's a huge departure from the garage pop of her debut, instead looking towards shiny dream pop with edgy basslines, shimmery guitars, and Frankie's increasingly strong voice.
She just announced a tour in support of the album with DIVE, which kicks off in April, about a month and a half after her album release show in NYC. That tour hits Chicago on April 30 at Township (formerly Panchos). Tickets are not on sale yet but check ticketweb for updates.
She's also got a new video for "Gospel/Grace." Check that out, along with all dates below...
