Cross Record, the project of Chicago via Florida singer-songwriter Emily Cross, recently released a new album, called Be Good, via Lay Flat. You can stream a few tracks from that album at the bottom of this post. Order a copy of Be Good HERE.

Emily's Cross Record were one of the many bands who performed at the bvChicago / Saki-presented full day of in-stores on Record Store Day 2012. Epitonic tracked live recordings of all acts, and you can download Cross Record's set at the top of this post. Two of the five songs they performed were from Be Good -- "Cups in the Sink" and "Skins of Fishes."

A few Cross Record song streams are below...

As part the bvChicago-presented Record Store Day in-store marathon at Saki, Epitonic captured live recordings of most of the acts who played that day. One of those acts were locals Bare Mutants, who played an early afternoon set at the shop. You can download the eight-song session at the top of this post and/or stream it via Epitonic.

Bare Mutants have two upcoming shows: an opening slot for the Afghan Wigs at Metro on August 4 and an opening slot the following night for Divine Fits at Schubas. Both shows sold out very quickly. Were you able to grab tickets to either?

Check out a 16-minute Coach House Sounds session they did in 2011 below...
