As mentioned, Riot Fest Chicago 2012 goes down from September 14-16 in Humboldt Park, and now also at Congress Theater, who will host the opening night. Joining the initial lineup of Iggy & the Stooges, Elvis Costello, Descendents, Gogol Bordello, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Gaslight Anthem, The Promise Ring, Screaming Females, Built to Spill, and more is a second wave of artists including Andrew W.K. (full band), Hot Water Music, Minus the Bear, The Adicts, Henry Clay People, The Adicts, Pegboy, Imagine Dragons, Dead Sara, Fireworks, The Infected, Neon Trees, and still more to come.

Day-by-day lineups have now also been revealed which you can check out below. Multi-day passes are almost all sold out, but a few options are still available, and single day tickets go on sale today at 10 AM.

Mumford & Sons @ Coachella 2011 (more by David Andrako)

Commercially successful indie-folk group Mumford & Sons are curating a summer festival series called Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers. What does one of these stopovers consist of?

We come into town Friday, stop over for the night, start early on Saturday, play music all day with our friends at an amazing, unique location. One site with two stages alternating sets with some of our favorite acts from around the world. And then, once the main event is over, we curate a series of afterparties and events throughout the town. We bring in local food and vendors to help us celebrate the town and the people.

The first Gentlemen of the Road Stopover took place on June 2 in Huddersfield, UK. The second will happen on Saturday (6/9) in Galway, Ireland. The festival then comes to the United States in August visiting Maine, Virginia/Tennessee, Illinois, and California, with different acts featured on each date.

The Illinois stopover is happening at Page Park in Dixon (roughly 100 miles from downtown Chicago) on August 18, featuring Gogol Bordello, Dawes, Abigail Washburn, The Very Best, Apache Relay, Haim, and you guessed it... Mumford & Sons. Tickets go on sale this Saturday (6/9) at 10AM CST. There are also campsites available for the 17th & 18th.

Gogol Bordello @ Lollapalooza Brazil

Just after a week after they did Chile, Lollapalooza hosted its inaugural festival in Brazil which, according to festival organizers, hosted 75,000 fans. The two day (April 7-8) fest was held at San Paulo's Jockey Club and featured sets by Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Cage the Elephant, Foo Fighters, TV on the Radio, Foster the People Gogol Bordello, Thievery Corporation, the Arctic Monkeys, Jane's Addiction, and many more. Gogol Bordello on New Year's Eve in NYC (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)

Lollapalooza Chile is set to take place from March 31st - April 1st in Santiago's O'Higgins Park. The lineup includes Bjork, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Gogol Bordello, MGMT, and many more.

The following weekend (April 7th & 8th), Lollapalooza Brasil will take form at The Jockey Club in Sao Paulo. Plus or minus a few bands, their lineup isn't much different than Chile's.

The 2011 North Coast Music Festival is set to take place this upcoming holiday weekend (9/2 - 9/4) in Chicago's Union Park.

Gogol Bordello, Lotus, Of Montreal, Little Dragon, SBTRKT (DJ), Wiz Khalifa, Rusko, RJD2, Common, The Budos Band and many more will play the city's unoffical end of summer celebration over the course of three days.
