Father John Misty at Lincoln Hall on 10.30.2012

On Tuesday night (10/30) Father John Misty brought his tour with La Sera and Jeffertitti's Nile through Chicago for a sold-out show at Lincoln Hall. Were you there? What did you think? J. Tillman and co. arrived in Chicago one day before their Lincoln Hall show to play an in-store at Saki with support from The Orwells. Did you make it out to either performance?

Father John Misty's Fear Fun LP

Father John Misty (aka the new project of ex-Fleet Foxes drummer J. Tillman), who recently played Schubas and sang R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly" at Alice's Lounge, has announced a fall U.S. tour with La Sera and Jeffertitti's Nile. Tillman and co. hit the road in early-September and will join up with the two groups in the beginning of October. They'll visit Chicago on October 30 for a show at Lincoln Hall. Tickets go on sale this Friday (7/27) at noon CST.
Tillman's debut as Father John Misty, Fear Fun, hit stores in May via Sub Pop. Check out music videos for the album tracks "Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings" and "This Is Sally Hatchet" at the bottom of this post.

Download the album tracks "Please Be My Third Eye" and "Break My Heart" at the top of this post. Katy will hit the road for a short string of headlining dates this May, reaching Township on the 15th of the month. Advance tickets are on sale. All dates are listed below.
In related news, Katy's former-Vivian Girls bandmate Frankie Rose headlines Township TONIGHT (April 30). Tickets are still available for tonight's show, featuring support from Dive, though maybe not for long. Frankie's great new album, Interstellar, hit stores in February via Slumberland.
