Nine Inch Nails fan @ Lollapalooza 2012 (more by James Richards IV)

The official Lollapalooza 2013 lineup has been announced, even though you already got a good peek at it when it leaked in full last week. The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, New Order, Queens of the Stone Age, Kendrick Lamar, Phoenix, The National, Baroness, and MANY more are slated to perform in Grant Park from August 2-4.

Three-day passes are long gone, but single-day tickets go on sale this Wednesday (4/3) at 10AM CST.

Matt & Kim at the Congress Theater on 11.10.2012

Matt and Kim played a nearly sold-out show on Saturday night at the Congress Theater (11/10) with openers Oberhofer as part of a larger US tour together. The sweaty all-ages crowd was made up of mostly teenagers as older attendees stuck to the balcony. Matt and Kim consistently talked about how thrilled they were to be playing at such a large venue. In signature fashion, they bounced around the stage with explosive energy, weaving their material through covers of pop and hip hop tracks.

If you missed the show, Matt & Kim will return to Chicago on February 22 to play UIC Pavilion with tourmates Passion Pit. Tickets for that show go on sale this Saturday (11/17) at noon CST. Stay tuned for presale information.

Yo La Tengo

Green Music Fest took place over the weekend, featuring headlining sets from Yo La Tengo, The Thermals, and Les Savy Fav.

Surrounding the festival, The Thermals played the Vic with Matt & Kim, Yo La Tengo DJed a taco shop; and followed suit with Les Savy Fav in playing a festival aftershow at Subterranean.

Tonight, JAM Productions has announced three new shows coming to Chicago that all go on sale this Saturday (March 5th) at 10AM.

There's Matt & Kim/The Thermals at the Vic on June 25th, (they'll also play Terminal 5 in NYC together), KT Tunstall (solo) at Park West on April 17th, and the "IAMDONALD TOUR:" coming to Park West on May 18th, featuring Donald Glover and Childish Gambino.
