Callers recently signed to Partisan Records, who will be releasing the group's new LP, Reviver, on October 9. You can stream the album's lead single "Howard 2 Hands" at the bottom of this post. Callers will be heading out on tour with fellow two-piece Wye Oak in September. They won't be playing a Chicago show together, however they will be headlining Subterranean on September 15 (while Wye Oak play the Hideout Block Party). Advance tickets are on sale.

Deer Tick are set to release their new LP Divine Providence on October 25th via Partisan Records. The album was produced by the band, in conjunction with Adam Landry and Justin Collins in their native Rhode Island. It's not only the follow up to 2010's Black Dirt Sessions, but will also mark the group's fourth album in only five years.The record's single, "Miss K." is available for FREE streaming / download via a mini-site they've created. Divine Providence will be up for pre-order soon via Partisan Records in CD, Vinyl, and Digital Formats.
In support of the album, the group will head out on a fall North American tour which hits Reggie's on November 14th. Tickets are on sale now.

Mountain Man @ 92YTribeca in December (more by Amanda Hatfield)

Mountain Man will head out in North America for much of July, starting tonight at the Winnipeg Folk Festival in Manitoba. Blind Pilot will join them on select dates, as will BOBBY (the band they share a member with) on others.
Chicago will get theirs when Mountain Man play Schubas this coming Tuesday (July 12th) with Gaberdine, and Ever Isles. Tickets are still available.
That very same night their Partisan Records label mates Sallie Ford & the Sound Outside will play Lincoln Hall with Jolie Holland.
Mountain Man's Live at the Wiltern came out on July 5th via Partisan Records. The release can be purchased in audio, and/or video format.

On Friday (6/3), Thao & Mirah, BOBBY, and Led to Sea played Empty Bottle. Photographer; Josh Darr was in attendance, and hung out with BOBBY before the show.
BOBBY's self-titled debut hits stores on June 21st via Partisan Records. Between now and then, you can stream the album in its entirety over at NPR.
Their Empty Bottle show took place in the midst of the Do Division Street Festival, which Thao & Mirah played on Saturday (6/4).

In BOBBY related news, Mountain Man kick off a month-long US tour in July.
They'll be in Chicago on July 12th to play Schubas. Tickets are still available.

Sallie Ford & the Sound Outside have just released the phenomenal Dirty Radio LP via Partisan Records. Serving as their debut LP, Dirty Radio is a monumental release for the Portland, OR-based band.
Check out Dirty Radio's opening track "I Swear," available for download/stream above.
The group hit the road on their own on May 26th, and continue on that way until late June, when they meet up with The Legendary Shack Shakers for a few dates. After that comes a larger partnership with Jolie Holland, which will carry them through the end of July.
They'll play Lincoln Hall on July 12th. Tickets go on sale Friday, at noon CST.
