Big Boi @ North Coast Festival 2012 (more by James Richards IV)

As seen on BrooklynVegan, Big Boi and fellow Atlantan Killer Mike are slated to embark on a large spring North American tour together. That tour kicks off in Athens, GA in April, and will reach Chicago for a performance at the Vic Theatre on May 1. Tickets go on sale this Saturday (3/9) at 10AM CST.

Big Boi will also be performing at the Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, IL on May 26. The Chicago-area festival kicks off on May 24, and features Sir Lucious L. Leftfoot himself, Diplo, Maps & Atlases, and many more acts. Three-day passes are still available, and individual day tickets will go on sale sometime next month.

Summer Camp Music Festival 2012 is taking place this weekend (May 25-27) in Three Sisters Park in in Chillicothe, IL. The three-day festival includes performances by Jane's Addiction, Primus, Common, Gogol Bordello, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, AraabMUZIK, JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound, and a slew of others. Three-day passes and Sunday-only tickets are still available.

A festival pre-party begins this afternoon, which has its own set of tickets and you are required to have purchased a three-day pass to be able to attend.

Preservation Hall Jazz Band @ Voodoo Fest in 2010 (more by Alysse Gafkjen)

New Orleans' Preservation Hall Jazz Band have announced that they'll be coming to the Evanston, IL venue SPACE on April 10, for an early (6:30PM) and late (9:30PM) show. Advance tickets are on sale.

As announced yesterday, the band are also a part of the Summer Camp festival lineup.

The 2012 edition of the Summer Camp Music Festival is set to take place from May 25th - 27th in Chillicothe, IL's Three Sisters Park.

The very initial lineup tells us that both moe. and Umphrey's McGee will play on all three nights. Early Bird three-day passes are on sale now for $130 (plus fees).

Earlier in the year, when Girl Talk embarked on an initial tour in support of All Day, Pitchfork TV brought Gregg Gillis and Dipset's Jim Jones together in Jones' Nomad District Studio in New York for a special edition of their "Selector" series. Jones was so thrilled with the track "Believe In Magic" they created, that he took things one step further and invited R&B vocalist Lloyd to contribute.

Next week, Girl Talk will kick off a summer tour once again in support of All Day. He'll be back in Chicago for both Summer Camp at the end of this month, and Lollapalooza in August.
