Tombs @ Union Pool in March (BKLYN) (more by Di Lynn Ring)

Brooklyn's Tombs are beginning to announce a fall tour. Just a couple dates have surfaced so far, including a performance at Township on October 16 with labelmates 16 (fitting, right?) and Chicago's Jar'd Loose. Advance tickets for the Chicago show are on sale. All known dates are listed at the bottom of this post.
Tombs released their most recent album, the great Path of Totality, in 2011 via Relapse Records. While we wait for the follow-up to Path of Totality-- they'll be heading into the studio this winter-- you can check out two different versions of their take on David Bowie's "Heroes" below. One has been dubbed "the NYC Mix" and the other is called "the Berlin Mix," and features a verse sung in German by Ralph Schmidt (Hëllström, Planks). The tracks premiered this morning (8/29) via Ghettoblaster, and you can read a bit about why they chose to cover Bowie at the site.

Wild Flag @ Metro on 4/05/2012

Last Thursday (April 5), label mates Wild Flag and Hospitality visited Chicago to play a sold-out show at Metro. During their encore, Wild Flag covered a trio of songs- Bobby Freeman's "Do You Wanna Dance?," Television's "See No Evil," and Fugazi's "Margin Walker."
