Animal Collective at Terminal 5, Dec 2012 (more by Greg Cristman)

As discussed, Animal Collective were forced to cancel their spring North American tour due to main vocalist Avey Tare being diagnosed with "an intense case of strep throat." That announcement came just one day before they were scheduled to play the Riviera Theatre on March 16 with tourmate Dan Deacon. Like they said they would, AC have just announced a new North American tour. That tour includes a performance at the Riv on October 17 with Dan Deacon. All tickets for their original performance will be honored (it was sold-out).

Morrissey @ BAM in January (more by Dana (Distortion) Yavin)

As seen on BrooklynVegan, Morrissey has rescheduled a bunch of 2013 U.S. tour dates that were canceled last month due to the singer being diagnosed with Barrett's Esophagus. He'll kick off his new tour later this week, which includes a performance at The Chicago Theatre on March 23. Moz was originally slated to perform at the venue on October 27, 2012 but pushed the show back until January 26, which didn't happen either. Tickets for both postponed shows will be honored, and MORE are on sale now.

The Soft Moon @ 285 Kent in 2011 (BKLYN) (more by Erez Avissar)

As discussed, San Francisco's The Soft Moon were forced to cancel some East Coast and Midwest dates due to Hurricane Sandy. They've been able to put together a make-up tour which will be taking place in January. That tour makes a stop in Chicago on January 12 for a performance at the Empty Bottle. Tickets go on sale TODAY (Wednesday, November 21) at 1PM CST.

Morrissey at Radio City in October (more by Chris La Putt)

As mentioned on BrooklynVegan, Morrissey announced a 2013 tour which includes rescheduled dates for the shows he had to postpone to be with his ailing mother, and several new ones too. The new Chicago date happens on January 26 at Chicago Theatre. Ticket info for the show is forthcoming. Additional tickets are on sale. Your original tickets, for his October 27 show at the same venue, will be honored.

As many others artists already have, Cypress Hill were forced to postpone a number of their fall US tour dates due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy. They've since been able to reschedule all of the dates that were no longer possible, including a performance at the Double Door on November 4. The new date is December 3 at the same venue, all tickets will be honored, and more are on-sale now. You'll find an updated list of tour dates at the bottom of this post.

As you may remember, Action Bronson acts as main support on that tour. He'll be joining up with Cypress again later this month, but will not be able to perform at the make-up shows.

Emil Amos @ Knitting Factory in 2011 (BKLYN) (more by Fred Pessaro // BBG)

In light of Emil Amos' healed arm, his group Om have rescheduled their North American tour (it was supposed to kick off this Friday (8/24) at the Empty Bottle). That tour has been pushed to November, and begins at the Empty Bottle on the 17th of the month. Daniel Higgs will still act as main support, and tickets go on sale this Friday at 10AM CST.

Foxy Shazam @ Metro in February (more by James Richards IV)

Foxy fans,

A few of the guys have come down with a serious case of pneumonia and it needs to be treated immediately. Unfortunately, due to the declining health of the band, we are going to be postponing our shows on the current tour up to the 11th of April. This means Rochester, Pittsburgh, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Chicago, Omaha and Colorado Springs.

We will be back on the 12th of April and all other dates are on schedule as planned.

Danny Brown at Echoplex in LA in January (more by Nathanel Turner)

As seen on BrooklynVegan, Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover) recently fractured his foot and has posponed a bunch of dates on his current tour with Danny Brown. This includes their show at the Riv, which was supposed to take place on March 30 and has now been rescheduled to May 9. All tickets will be honored.
