Chris Cohen releasing 'As If Apart' (stream two song), playing shows

Chris Cohen is set to return with a new album, titled As If Apart, out May 6 via Captured Tracks. Judging by the two tracks released from the LP so far, Cohen is in airy, baroque mode, recalling The Left Banke, The United States of America, and other similarly not-adverse-to-harpsichords ’60s pop. Check out “In a Fable” and “Torey Pine” below.

Chris, who has toured as a part of Deerhoof, Cass McCombs’ band and more, will be playing shows this spring, including one in NYC at Baby’s All Right on May 6.  Tickets for that show will be on sale soon. All tour dates are listed below.
