CHVRCHES / Still Corners @ Webster Hall, 6/17/2013

Scottish synthpop trio CHVRCHES just blew through town for two sold-out shows, playing Webster Hall on Monday (6/17) and Music Hall of Williamsburg on Tuesday (6/18), both of which were with tourmates Still Corners. The band did a 12-song set — likely the bulk of their fortcoming debut LP, due in September — plus their standard encore cover of Prince’s “I Would Die 4 U.” Pictures from Webster Hall are in this post.

After their two shows, CHVRCHES stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform their hit “The Mother We Share” and you can watch video of that below. Also last night, Still Corners played a terrific headlining set at Mercury Lounge with openers Imperial Topaz.

CHVRCHES will be at Firefly Music Festival in Delaware on Saturday, and while they’re there, you can also watch us interview them live at 1PM on the Soundwave Stage where they’ll return to DJ later that day before playing their festival set. To be more specific, their day looks like this:

CHVRCHES also just announced a fall tour. Probably no surprise that their NYC date on it is at Terminal 5, happening on September 22, which is two days before their album comes out. Tickets for that show go on AmEx presale June 26 at noon with the general on-sale starting June 28 at noon.
