Citizen releasing 'As You Please,' touring with Sorority Noise & Great Grandpa

Citizen will release their new album As You Please on October 6 via Run For Cover. Going by lead single “Jet,” it’s a bit more accessible than 2015’s Jesus Lizard-inspired Everybody Is Going to Heaven, but singer Mat Kerekes still lets his raspy aggression shine through at times. Watch the video for “Jet” and check out the album artwork and tracklist below.

Citizen have just announced a tour in support of the album with Sorority Noise (who released You’re Not As _____ As You Think this year) and Great Grandpa (who released Plastic Cough this year). All dates are on artist presale now.

The tour includes a NYC show on October 26 at Irving Plaza. If you miss out on the artist presale, you can get tickets to that show during the Live Nation/Music Geeks presales starting Thursday (8/10) at 10 AM, or when the public on-sale starts Friday (8/11) at noon. All dates are listed below.

All bands on the tour also play Atlanta’s Small Ball on November 5 at The Masquerade. It’s a mini festival taking place while Wrecking Ball takes this year off, and also includes The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die, The Hotelier, Rozwell Kid, Oso Oso and more (tickets).

Citizen and Sorority Noise also play day one of the awesome Sound on Sound festival in Texas in November.
