Early ’00s screamo greats City of Caterpillar are currently reunited, having recently repressed their sole full-length, 2002’s self-titled, on vinyl, and also put out some “lost” material. Then they began a tour, which is currently underway, and played two NYC shows this week. They hit Saint Vitus on Monday (1/16) with Big Hush and Ghastly City Sleep (fronted by Brandon Evans of City of Caterpillar); and played the same venue last night (1/17) with Virginia Creep (mem Pig Destroyer), powerviolence vets Supression, and Skulk Kits (Brandon solo). We caught Monday’s show, and pictures from that one are in the gallery above.
The tour continues in Boston tonight (1/18) with The Saddest Landscape and Kindling and wraps up in Chicago on Saturday (1/21) with Planes Mistaken For Stars and All Eyes West. Updated dates are listed, with a stream of their “lost” song “As the Curtains Dim; (little white lie),” below.
