City Winery opened new upstairs venue The Loft (initial schedule)

Manhattan’s City Winery has a a new upstairs space they’re calling The Loft:

Located one flight up from the main 300-seat venue, it accommodates 150 people seated, or 250 standing, and has an all-ages policy. The Loft promises an even more intimate setting to host showcases, record release parties, underplays, and developing acts in all genres, from rock to indie, blues to comedy, Americana and more. Following The Loft opening, City Winery will continue evaluating new markets going into 2019.

Exposed brick walls and wooden floors define the downtown space, where guests can enjoy City Winery’s signature acoustics, performance visibility and service. The Loft will also offer a new dining menu with concert-friendly plates and a full drink menu with plenty of wine made in-house.

Having had at couple trial run shows, The Loft at City Winery’s initial schedule includes a book Q&A with Dave Lory, author of Jeff Buckley: From Hallelujah to the Last Goodbye on June 13; Kelly Willis on June 5;  the duo of Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother) and Ben Lee on June 29 & 30; and Peter Himmelman on July 2. Head here for tickets and the full Loft schedule.
