Experimental rap group clipping. are touring this year, including a run opening for The Flaming Lips. They’ll be on both of the Lips’ NYC-area shows — March 9 at Terminal 5 (tickets) and March 11 at The Space at Westbury (tickets) — and they’ll also play a headlining NYC show right in between them. That happens on March 10 at Rough Trade. Tickets go on sale Friday (2/3) at noon with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (2/1) at noon. Updated dates are listed below.
As you may know, clipping.’s Daveed Diggs is now more famous for his role in Hamilton. In related news, Phillipa Soo, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Jasmine Cephas Jones — who originated the roles of Eliza, Angelica, and Peggy Schuyler in Hamilton — will come together to perform “America the Beautiful” during the Super Bowl pregame show. Lady Gaga is playing the Halftime Show, and Luke Bryan will sing the National Anthem. Gaga is also starring in a Tiffany & Co. commercial airing during the Super Bowl.
