Clutch announce new album 'Book of Bad Decisions' (stream a track)
Riff rock vets Clutch revealed last year that they’d begin work on a new album after their fall/winter tour, and now the followup to 2015’s Psychic Warfare has officially been announced. It’s called Book of Bad Decisions and it comes out on September 7 via their own Weathermaker Music label (pre-order). It was recorded with producer Vance Powell (who’s worked with Jack White, Chris Stapleton, and many others), and bassist Dan Maines said, “Recording in Nashville with Vance Powell gave us a new and fresh approach towards making an album that truly captures the live energy of Clutch in a way I don’t think we’ve done before.” The first single from the album is “Gimme the Keys,” and you can hear Vance Powell’s touch on the lively production, but the song itself is the Clutch you know and love. Always the road warriors, Clutch will head back out on tour this month, beginning at day two of Rocklahoma. Later on, they play their own Earth Rocker Festival in West Virginia in August, the Nine Inch Nails-headlined River City Rockfest in San Antonio in September, a big show with System of a Down in San Bernardino, and more.
