Coachella 2016 Weekend One (more)

Coachella 2016 Weekend Two begins today (4/22) and like during weekend one, you can stream performances and interviews on SiriusXM. Listen on Coachella Radio (channel 18), and check out the broadcast schedule. Select performances will air on other SiriusXM channels including Electric Area, Alt Nation, The Spectrum and more, as well.

Some good news for weekend two: reunited shoegazers Lush had to drop off weekend one due to visa issues, but they’re successfully in the US now, having just played Seattle earlier this week. Still no Skepta this time though.

Select sets also air on Coachella’s YouTube page in 360 video where you can control what you see. The Coachella people say:

This weekend we’re taking the Coachella live webcast into an entirely new dimension. Tune in for Coachella’s first-ever 360 degree live stream and find your spot in the middle of the action. Fully immerse yourself in select performances and be the first to experience the future of live concert broadcasts.

Right now they’re showing videos from last week in 360 at live.coachella.com and this week’s stream begins at 5:45 PM EST.

If you’ll be at the fest, check out Weekend Two set times. Are you picking Grimes or Guns N’ Roses? GNR were only 10 minutes late last weekend.

Check out pictures and videos of Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the first weekend.

Speaking of SiriusXM, they currently have The Prince Tribute Channel on ch. 50 in honor of the late legend. They say: “SiriusXM’s The Prince Tribute Channel, will air on Ch. 50, featuring music from the vast body of artistry from Prince’s entire career, including his earliest recordings through his most recent release HITnRUN Phase One. The special channel will also feature music by artists that Prince was closely linked to, inspired by and collaborated with.”

As of now, the only Prince you can stream online are the select albums he has as Tidal exclusives. Even the Prince Pandora station plays no Prince and he’s cracked down hard on getting his music off YouTube.
