Coachella 2018, Day 2 photos (Beyonce, David Byrne, Angel Olsen, Brockhampton, more)

The 2018 edition of Coachella (or Beychella as we’re calling it now that Beyonce played her headlining set – more on that HERE) continued on Saturday (4/14) in Indio, CA. Check out pictures from Saturday in the gallery above.

Nile Rodgers and Chic got an early Saturday afternoon dance party going during their set, which included renditions of Madonna’s “Like a Virgin” and David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance,” both of which Nile did production work on, and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky,” which Nile co-wrote. A little later, Angel Olsen brought out Lindsey Jordan of Snail Mail to help her sing “Shut Up Kiss Me.” Brockhampton‘s energetic set, with a string orchestra and A-Trak (whose brother’s band Chromeo played the same day) as DJ, was a major highlight of the day. David Byrne, who like Nile was playing his first-ever Coachella, also pulled out all the stops as he brought his “untethered” American Utopia show to the Coachella stage, complete with Talking Heads hits and a powerful cover of Janelle Monae’s “Hell You Talmbout” (updated with more recent names) to close his set. Check out the full setlists for all four artists mentioned in this paragraph, and Beyonce, below.

alt-J, Hundred Waters, Jungle, HAIM, Jorja Smith, Oh Sees, Fleet Foxes, Alvvays, Tyler the Creator, Benjamin Booker, The Bronx, Bedouin, Cherry Glazerr, Priests, Yaeji, Flatbush Zombies, First Aid Kit, Busy P, Django Django, Big Thief, Sudan Archives, Chloe x Halle, Ron Gallo, MØ (who brought out Charli XCX and Diplo for her set) and more also played Saturday. Oh, and Jay-Z, who made an appearance during Beyonce‘s insanely spectacular set which did in fact include a Destiny’s Child reunion. Solange showed up too, during “Get Me Bodied.” More on Beyonce’s set HERE.

Weekend one of Coachella wraps up on Sunday. If you’re in Indio for Coachella, here are the set times (and set time conflicts). If you aren’t in Indio, there’s still one more day of livestreaming of some sets – check out the streaming schedule. You can also listen to Coachella Radio on Sirius XM.
