So much comedy happens in NYC it’s hard to keep up. Here’s this week’s roundup of comedy stuff going on in the city. Be sure to check out last week’s roundup for more, and you can check out our comedy tag for still more.

Tig Notaro‘s series One Mississipi maybe have been canceled by Amazon but she’s got a few other streaming irons in the fire. She and Jennifer Aniston are co-staring in an upcoming Netflix film First Ladies as the first female president and her wife. The film, written by Tig and fellow One Mississippi writer Stephanie Allynne and co-produced by Aniston and Will Ferrell, does not yet have a release date but Tig fans can watch her newest Netflix comedy special, Happy To Be Here, which debuts Tuesday, May 22.

And in other female-fronted Netflix comedy news, Michelle Wolf‘s new series The Break with Michelle Wolf premieres on Netflix this Sunday, May 27.

Speaking of Comedy Cellar regulars, Amy Schumer and Aziz Ansari stopped by the famed West Village venue last week for a drop-in set. In other news Jon Mulaney, who also has a new Netflix special, is on this week’s Comedy Bang Bang.

Catch up on all of the upcoming live comedy coming up this week with our New York comedy picks below.
