‘Concert Across America to End Gun Violence’ happening September 25 (Jackson Browne & more in NYC)

concert-across-america

The Concert Across America to End Gun Violence is pretty much what it sounds like, a series of benefit shows happening all across the country on September 25, hoping to raise awareness for dozens of organizations committed to reducing gun violence in the wake of the many tragedies our country has seen recently.

One of the most high-profile of these concerts happens at NYC’s Beacon Theatre with Jackson Browne, Rosanne Cash, Marc Cohn, and Harlem’s Gospel for Teens. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, August 12 at noon. UPDATE: Eddie Vedder added to the lineup.

Boston has a show with Bill Janovitz of Buffalo Tom with Mike Gent & Tanya Donelly of Belly and Throwing Muses, Hallelujah the Hills, Marissa Nadler, and Vapors of Morphine.

LA has Dan Felder of the Eagles and Ryan Cabrera.

There are also other Concert Across America events in happening in NYC (like one at Jalopy), and all over the place. More details are here and A full list of the over 100 nationwide locations is below.
